The cabin is located 10 minutes outside of Lødingen, an hour's drive from Evenes airport.
Lødingen offers an ideal base for exploring everything Lofoten and Vesterålen have to offer. Whether you are interested in outdoor life, culture or just want to experience the fantastic northern Norwegian nature, Lødingen is a perfect starting point.
There are many different hiking trails and scenic viewpoints that offer panoramic views of the surrounding fjords and mountains. The region's natural beauty is a significant attraction for nature enthusiasts with a short distance to wonderful nature experiences.
Mountain walks, fishing, boat trips and northern lights hunting are just some of the activities visitors can enjoy. Lødingen's location also gives access to the archipelago with opportunities for fishing, sailing and diving (Wreck of DS Karmøy from World War 2 close to Lødingen).
You don't have to go to Lofoten to experience sea fishing. In Lødingen, you can rent a boat and go out on your own, or book a trip with local fishermen who know where the best fishing spots are.
In the summer, it is light all day and you can then go fishing in the middle of the night while you can see the sun hanging low in the sky. It is an experience that the vast majority of people will take with them and is a memory for life.
Based on a model from Saltdalshytta, the cabin is tailored for the perfect balance between practicality, space, design and comfort.

The cabin is newly built and was completed in 2024. It is large, modern and spacious with plenty of space and many sleeping places. There are large windows that let in daylight and nature. Here you can sit and watch moose, reindeer, hares and birds (sea eagles, eagles, redshanks etc.) staying in the immediate vicinity. In addition, you get to experience spectacular colors in the sky when the sun rises and when it sets. When conditions permit, you will also be able to experience the northern lights dancing in the sky.
The cabin is located in a former military area, "Nes fort". There are many footpaths and paths in the cabin area that are suitable for walking and cycling. There are also great hiking areas in the immediate vicinity for mountain and summit hikes of varying degrees of difficulty.
After a good walk, you can relax in a spacious sauna with a panoramic window and afterwards let the heat from the wood stove warm you.
The cabin has a large living room with living room, open kitchen and dining table for 10 people. The kitchen is very well equipped with nice cutlery and drinking glasses for every occasion. Adjoining the kitchen, there is a bay window with a rest/bench where you can enjoy your morning coffee or have a good conversation while cooking.

The cabin has a large loft living room. Here there is a large HDTV where you can watch a film or play TV games (the cottage is not set up with a game console etc.). Large panoramic windows have been installed facing the living room. Which gives a cathedral-like view to the south. The windows also help to increase security and dampen the passage of sound into the living room.
Located among spectacular mountains, nature offers a dramatic and beautiful scenery.
It is not rare to be greeted by a beautiful sunrise over the mountains in the east followed by a even more stunning sunset into the ocean west-southwest.
